Jimswood was originally founded in 1977 as a small textile trading company ("Jenny Fashion Company") in the garment district of downtown Los Angeles, and this small company soon became successful. Beginning from 1979, Jimswood moved into hotel investments and management including Holiday Inn, Ramada Inn, Best Western Hotel, Rodeway Inn and some non-franchise hotels in the United States. Ever since China commenced its mass economic reform in 1979, Jimswood believes China would become the world's largest market for all goods and services. After years of research and planning, Jimswood launched its first China joint venture, Weifang Lianfu Stone Products, Co., Ltd. jointly with a local stone-processing factory in the year of 1990. In the following year, Jimswood established its second China joint venture, a plastic mold injection plant. Also in the same year, Jimswood formed another JV with a Chinese enterprise in constructing a 49-acre western style theme park (Fu Hua Amusement Park) together with a five star full service hotel (Fu Wah Hotel) in Weifang City. The Park & Hotel combination is probably the first one of its kind in China. The Park has been successfully operating since April 1995 and quickly became one of the popular attractions in Northern China. In order to better supervising and controlling Jimswood investments and joint ventures China, Shandong Jimswood Industrial Co., Ltd. (Jimswood China) was created in March 1994. Jimswood Sterilizing Product (Beijing) Co., Ltd. was established and given the Exclusive Distributorship in Asia for a patented US sterilizing product, SEP-T-BAN. Jimswood Group encompass a variety of industries including building materials, chemicals, fertilizer, oils & fats, transportation, lodging & leisure, and real estate.
